About the Role
As a Radiologic Technologist, your work involves much more than performing diagnostic exams; you also ensure a positive experience by making patients feel respected and secure. You will perform ionizing radiographic and fluoroscopic exams in a variety of environments according to physician's orders, utilizing knowledge and judgment regarding exposure factors, imaging techniques, and patient care.
Central to the success of this role is the ability to handle stressful situations in ways that promote positive outcomes. You will partner with patients of all ages—from neonates to geriatric—communicating effectively to ensure appropriate and effective care while maintaining a professional image of competency.

- check_circleOperate radiology equipment and set exposure factors to ensure accurate and quality images
- check_circleVerify patient identification and review orders to ensure correct examination
- check_circleProtect patients and others by using proper machine settings and radiation safety standards
- check_circleLabel images completely with demographic, position, and other required documentation
- check_circleUse computer image processing to select and optimize images before sending to PACS
- check_circleMaintain current knowledge through journals, books, and in-service seminars
- check_circleCommunicate and educate patients and families regarding the exam performed
Requirements
