The CT Technologist performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This position requires ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to perform high-quality scans. You will operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images, ensuring proper patient identification and preparation. Your day involves reviewing images for clarity and accuracy, adhering to radiation safety guidelines, and maintaining a safe working environment for both patients and staff.
Beyond technical execution, you will provide appropriate patient education, ensure patient comfort, and address concerns from patients and families. You will coordinate care by communicating pertinent information to other providers and may administer contrast media under physician supervision. The role also involves staying updated with the latest advancements in CT technology and assisting in the instruction of students and other technologists.
