The Quality Engineer serves as the internal quality representative for both internal and external customers, driving quality forward through effective communication. This role is designed for a self-directed professional who thrives in a high-paced, team-oriented environment. You will work independently while collaborating closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to manage multiple customer accounts, including OEMs and sub-tier suppliers.
Your day-to-day involves maintaining configuration control, reviewing blueprints and specifications, and acting as a subject matter expert on customer-specific requirements. You will partner with Engineering to submit waivers, concessions, and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), while actively supporting root cause analysis for customer complaints and returns. Beyond technical execution, you will champion continual improvement projects, identify opportunities for solutions, and may be involved in training and coaching team members.
