The Quality Engineer serves as the internal quality representative for both internal and external customers, driving quality forward through effective communication. This role is designed for a self-directed professional who thrives in a high-paced, team-oriented environment.
You will work independently while collaborating across Engineering, Operations, and Quality departments to manage multiple customer accounts, including OEMs and sub-tier suppliers. A key part of your day involves maintaining configuration control, reviewing blueprints and specifications, and acting as a subject matter expert on customer-specific requirements. You will partner with Engineering to submit waivers, concessions, and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), while actively supporting root cause analysis for customer complaints and returns.
Beyond technical execution, you will champion continual improvement projects, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance our processes. You will also serve as a trainer and coach, ensuring certification for customer source inspections and participating in internal, external, and special process audits.
