The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix is dedicated to fostering a vibrant faith community through its Catholic Schools Office. Our mission is to provide a holistic education that integrates academic excellence with the Gospel values of the Church. We strive to create learning environments where students are prepared not only for life in today's society but also for their spiritual journey within the Church.
As a Middle School Teacher within the Diocese, you are more than an educator; you are a person of faith called to model the Catholic philosophy of education. This role exists to lead and manage assigned grades or classes while developing an instructional program that meets the unique needs of students and adheres to Diocesan Curriculum Standards.
In this position, you will be the heart of the classroom community, integrating Church teachings into every aspect of the curriculum. Your day involves creating a positive, safe, and organized learning environment where students can grow academically and spiritually. You will work closely with administration, parents, and colleagues to establish strong school-community relationships and ensure that every student is included in discussions and learning experiences. Beyond the classroom, you are expected to engage in continuous professional development to remain current with both religious and academic certifications, actively participating in faculty meetings and diocesan-sponsored in-services.
Candidates for this position must meet specific Ministry Formation requirements and complete a Safe Environment Training, including signing the Code of Conduct. Additionally, an FBI Fingerprint clearance is required prior to employment. The Diocese seeks individuals who demonstrate a commitment to the faith, whether through a public Profession of Faith (for Catholics) or a willingness to support Catholic teachings and philosophy (for non-Catholics).
The Diocese of Phoenix is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who share our commitment to Catholic education. While preference is given to Catholic teachers, we value the contributions of all individuals who are willing to uphold and promote the doctrinal teachings and moral values of the Catholic Church.
