This position is part of the Integrated Behavioral Health Clinical Services team, dedicated to supporting comprehensive behavioral health care within medical clinics. The team operates with a mission to provide holistic mental health care and education across a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatric adults.
As an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician, you will serve as a vital link between mental health and primary care. Your day-to-day work involves conducting psychological evaluations and delivering individual, group, and family interventions tailored to patients of all ages. Beyond direct patient care, you will play an active role in staff education, orienting new employees, and providing psychological insights during patient care conferences.
Collaboration is central to this role. You will document all patient interactions and work closely with community and state-wide mental health agencies to ensure seamless follow-up assistance. You will also be expected to establish strong rapport with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff, fostering an environment of trust and effective communication.
Patient safety is a shared priority. You will be encouraged to take a proactive approach to safety by questioning current policies, identifying environmental risks, and reporting potential errors or near misses. Furthermore, you will empower patients to actively participate in their own care by encouraging them to ask questions and voice concerns about their treatment plans.
Candidates with a Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Psychology are invited to apply. Please note that a valid Psychologist License in New Mexico is required. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity. We welcome applications from bilingual candidates proficient in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.
