We are seeking a compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team and help fulfill the professional aspirations of those who enjoy making a difference in others' lives. In this role, you will perform psychiatric assessments and provide ongoing medication management for referred patients with developmental disabilities and mental health disorders. You will work within a client-centered approach, interfacing closely with medical directors, nurses, clinicians, and case managers to ensure comprehensive care.
Your day will involve conducting mental status examinations, diagnosing according to the DSM, and utilizing our electronic health record system alongside Santa Clara County Psychiatric Medical Guidelines. You will provide specialized input into individualized treatment planning, offer consultation to other clinicians, and deliver expert counseling to client families and caregivers regarding the intersection of mental health diagnoses and intellectual disabilities. Services are delivered in outpatient clinics via telehealth and in-office visits.
