The Geriatric Psychiatry NP/APRN serves as a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for older adults. This role operates across inpatient, outpatient clinic, and skilled nursing or long-term care settings, focusing on the assessment and management of late-life mental health conditions. These include mood disorders, psychotic disorders, cognitive disorders, behavioral symptoms of dementia, and comorbid medical conditions affecting psychiatric care. As a patient-focused organization, the position delivers evidence-based, tailored care that addresses the unique needs of the geriatric population.
Applicants must hold a current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Utah and possess Utah State prescriptive privileges. Newly hired non-physician providers are required to apply for credentialing and privileging at the time of hire. As this is a patient-sensitive position, all employees must fulfill immunization requirements according to CDC standards and hospital policy, with limited exemptions available for documented medical contraindications or religious objections.
