About the Team

The Dr. John C. Corrigan Mental Health Center (Fall River Site) provides comprehensive services to adults and children, including a 16-bed acute in-patient unit, Case Management, Day Treatment Program, and Adult Community Clinical Services. Our mission is to provide person-centered care to individuals of diverse backgrounds. We aspire to create an environment that promotes recovery, resiliency, growth, and independence for those we serve and their families, while fostering a culture where employees can learn and grow.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team on a 16-bed secured inpatient unit serving individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. This role is designed for professionals who desire a rewarding career making a tangible difference in the lives of patients. You will work alongside other professional staff to provide day-to-day direct care, monitoring patient behaviors, administering treatments, and offering patient teaching regarding health, wellness, and medication management.

Success in this position requires strong therapeutic interpersonal skills to encourage and motivate individuals in their recovery journey toward treatment goals. You will function as a vital member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, collaborating to establish comprehensive, person-centered care plans. The environment is dynamic and can be stressful; you may encounter verbal or physical confrontations and must be prepared to work under time pressure, including nights, weekends, holidays, and potential mandatory overtime.

Hiring Process

First consideration will be given to applicants who apply within the first 14 days of the posting. The pre-hire process includes a criminal background check as required by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and verification of all education, licensure, and certifications. Selected candidates must attest to their COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination status in compliance with state regulations.

If you require a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process, please contact EOHHS Candidate ADA Requests. For general questions regarding this requisition, contact the Human Resources Division at 1-800-510-4122, Option 4.

The Commonwealth is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, national origin, veteran status, or any other basis covered by appropriate law. Females, minorities, veterans, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. We encourage individuals who believe they have the skills necessary to thrive to apply, even if they do not meet 100% of the job requirements.
