About the Role
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking a Project Lead 3 to support a Technical Project Manager on a critical data engineering project focused on AI adoption. This role serves as a vital bridge between business, engineering, and AI stakeholders, ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of moderate to complex business solutions.
In this position, you will manage cross-functional coordination and track deliverables for platform and data engineering initiatives. The role requires a high degree of creativity and latitude to independently perform complicated tasks, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will be responsible for requirements gathering, business analysis, specifications development, project monitoring, and status reporting, all while ensuring alignment across diverse technical and business teams.

Nice to Have
Familiarity with healthcare or other regulated environments, including compliance, security, and data governance concepts. PMP, PgMP, PMI ACP, SAFe, or similar project management certification. Healthcare industry experience. Fundamental understanding of information management principles, IT processes, SDLC, architecture, and enterprise technologies. Strong consulting and facilitation skills. Customer-focused communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization. Experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives at the program or project level. TOGAF, Cloud Solution Architecture, or Azure/AWS/GCP certifications.
