This position serves as a strategic leader within the district operations program, responsible for directing the identification, prioritization, planning, and development oversight of transportation projects. You will act as a vital liaison between the District Planning and Investment Manager and the Operations Division ITS Project Development team, ensuring that operational improvements are delivered efficiently and effectively.
In this role, you will manage the entire project development lifecycle, from coordinating investment decisions and candidate project pools to overseeing the programming of improvements to ensure a strong return on investment. Your work will involve developing project performance metrics, managing resource allocation including manpower and contract requirements, and ensuring all operations contracts adhere to special provisions and standards. You will provide technical and policy support to senior field and executive management, guiding them through complex decisions in a fast-paced environment.

A combination of training, experience, or education in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, Transportation Planning or related field. Experience dealing with local government, elected officials, citizens and engineering consultants. Professional Engineer license or PMP. Project management, traffic engineering and transportation planning experience.
