At Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch, we are dedicated to providing interdisciplinary care for youth facing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric challenges. Our Program Therapists are the backbone of this care team, delivering evidence-based interventions designed to promote the mental health and long-term well-being of the youth in our care.
As a Program Therapist, you will serve as a vital link between clinical treatment and the broader support systems surrounding each youth. Your work extends beyond the therapy room; you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and navigate complex funding agency requirements while adhering to federal and state guidelines.
Your day will be dynamic, shifting between individual, group, and family therapy sessions conducted in school, community, and home settings. You will engage deeply with parents and guardians, collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, and advocate for youth during critical meetings such as CST and IEP sessions. Whether intervening in a crisis with calm precision or providing telehealth support, your role requires a balance of clinical expertise, cultural humility, and a commitment to the collective success of the team.
Our work is grounded in four core values that guide every interaction:
To join our team, applicants must be at least 21 years old and possess a Master's degree from an accredited university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. Candidates must hold a current Montana professional license (SWLC, PCLC, MFLC, LCSW, LCPC, or MLFT) and pass a criminal record and child abuse registry background check. A valid driver's license is also required.
We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, committed to building a diverse team that reflects the communities we serve.
