At Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch, our Program Therapists are an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team dedicated to supporting youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric challenges. Our mission is grounded in core values of Faith, Integrity, Relationship, and Stewardship, ensuring that every interaction honors the dignity of the youth and families we serve. We foster a culture where the team is prioritized over the individual, defining success collectively while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
As a Program Therapist, you will provide evidence-based interventions designed to promote the mental health and well-being of the youth on your caseload. This role is vital for evolving how care is delivered, moving beyond clinical tasks to build genuine therapeutic rapport with youth and their families. You will conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans that address varying diagnoses, ensuring that every intervention is both clinically sound and aligned with the youth's unique needs.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of settings, providing individual, group, and family therapy in schools, communities, and homes. You will engage in crisis intervention with a focus on maintaining safety for both staff and youth, while also navigating complex administrative requirements. This includes collaborating with funding agencies, adhering to federal and state guidelines, and maintaining the financial viability of the program. Whether through in-person sessions or telehealth, you will be a consistent, calming presence for youth and caregivers, advocating for their needs in school and community meetings.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess a Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a similar field from an accredited university. Applicants must hold a current Montana professional license (SWLC, PCLC, MFLC, LCSW, or MLFT) and pass a criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana. A valid license to operate a passenger vehicle is also required.
Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring that our team reflects the community we serve. We adhere to the Child and Youth Worker Code of Ethics, the National Association of Social Worker Code, and the American Psychological Association Code, maintaining strict professional boundaries and confidentiality in all our practices.
