At Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch, we are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric challenges. Our Program Therapists serve as an integral part of an interdisciplinary care team, delivering evidence-based interventions designed to promote the mental health and long-term well-being of the youth in our care.
As a Program Therapist, you will provide comprehensive clinical services including individual, group, and family therapy across school, community, and home settings. Your work involves conducting thorough mental health assessments and developing tailored treatment plans based on varying diagnoses. You will be expected to engage therapeutically with youth and families, whether in person or via telehealth, while maintaining the financial viability of the program.
This role requires active collaboration with a diverse treatment team, including participation in peer supervision, treatment team meetings, and coordination with schools and community agencies. You will advocate for youth during CST/IEP meetings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and external contract guidelines, including Montana Medicaid rules and YBGR's Mental Health Center Licensure regulations.
Our culture is built on four core values that guide every interaction and decision:
Interested candidates must be at least 21 years old and hold a Master's degree from an accredited university in psychology, social work, counseling, or a similar field. Applicants must possess a current Montana professional license (SWLC, PCLC, MFLC, LCSW, or MLFT) appropriate for the position level and hold a valid license to operate a passenger vehicle. All candidates must successfully pass criminal record and child abuse registry background checks as required by the State of Montana.
To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your relevant experience and alignment with our mission. Salary is determined based on education and experience within the established pay schedule.
