About the Opportunity
Empower Professionals is seeking a Program Manager to lead large-scale, cross-functional technical programs within the financial services and banking sectors. This role is designed for candidates with deep domain expertise in regulated environments who can drive alignment between product strategy, business goals, and regulatory compliance.
About the Role
In this position, you will partner with product, engineering, and stakeholder teams to break down complex challenges and deliver scalable, customer-focused solutions. You will define and maintain program plans, roadmaps, and schedules aligned to business OKRs and financial outcomes. Your impact will extend beyond individual delivery; you will influence product and platform strategy by providing technical insights, promoting reusable services, and advocating for platform-first approaches.
You will also drive strategic Program Management Center of Excellence (COE) initiatives to elevate practices across the organization, including process improvements, portfolio management, and leadership communications. This role offers the chance to work closely with the Head of Program Management and senior leaders to align program strategies and share best practices.
Location & Engagement
This is a hybrid role based in Plano, TX, with a duration of 12+ months. Local candidates are required.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or related field
- verified12+ years of program management experience
- verified8+ years of hands-on experience managing complex, cross-functional technology programs
- verifiedDeep domain experience in financial services, banking, or regulated environments
- verifiedExperience with Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe
- verifiedPrior experience managing, mentoring, or coaching a team of program managers or Scrum Masters
- verifiedPMP or equivalent program management certification

Nice to Have
Experience in captive auto finance, mobility services, or familiarity with loan origination, loan servicing, payment processing, or collections platforms. PMP or equivalent program management certification. Knowledge of modern software development practices. Experience with data analytics and reporting tools relevant to financial services. Background in platform solution, reusable services, or SDKs. Prior experience supporting product launches, GTM (Go-To-Market) strategies, and adoption.
