About the University of Cincinnati

Founded in 1819, the University of Cincinnati (UC) is a Carnegie 1 institution and one of the nation's best urban public research universities. With over 53,600 students, 12,000 faculty and staff, and a vibrant alumni network, UC combines research prowess with a physical setting described by The New York Times as "the most ambitious campus design program in the country." As the anchor of the Cincinnati Innovation District and home to the oldest cooperative education program in the country, UC contributes significantly to the local and state economy.

UC is a mission-driven organization committed to student success and positively transforming the community through scholarship and service. The university thrives on innovation, fostering an environment where staff and faculty are key contributors to its success.

About the Role

The Student Success Coordinator at Clermont College serves as a vital bridge between scholarship administration and direct student support. Under the direction of the Director of Student Success, this role is designed to promote academic success, retention, and graduation for a diverse student population.

Approximately half of the position focuses on the meticulous administration of the scholarship program, managing the lifecycle from application processing to donor stewardship. The remaining half is dedicated to counseling and supporting students, with a particular emphasis on first-generation students, those with financial need, and other historically underserved populations. The Coordinator acts as a key resource for students navigating scholarship opportunities, financial aid considerations, and barriers to persistence, collaborating with campus departments and community partners to ensure coordinated support.

Hiring Process

To apply, candidates must create a profile and submit a complete job application through the UC applicant portal. "Easy apply" applications submitted via other websites cannot be considered. Current UC employees must apply internally via SuccessFactors.

Applicants must upload the following documents:

  • Cover letter
  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae

For questions regarding the recruiting process or to request accommodations, please contact UC HR at jobs@uc.edu.

Equal Opportunity Employer

The University of Cincinnati is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building a workplace where all qualified applicants receive consideration for employment, including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans. UC is an E-Verify employer, and hired candidates will be required to provide satisfactory proof of employment eligibility via the Federal I-9 process.
