The Program Specialist/Aid Subs position is designed to plan, implement, and supervise activities that promote the safety, quality, and appearance of the Club. This role is critical for fostering a supportive environment where youth can thrive. Program Specialists will report to work only when needed at sites within their selected region, ensuring flexibility and targeted support where it is most required.
You will serve as a mentor and role model, guiding members through creative processes and inspiring both youth and adults. Your day involves facilitating programs, implementing curriculum, and designing colorful displays to promote various program areas. You will also maintain essential records regarding participant attendance and program results. While the core schedule is Monday through Friday between 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM, the role may occasionally require weekend or evening work to support fundraising events and activities.
We seek individuals who understand the Club's philosophy, vision, and goals. Success in this role requires the ability to cultivate positive relationships with youth and effectively communicate with staff, parents, local community leaders, schools, and churches. A strong knowledge of youth development is essential, as is the ability to navigate diverse personalities with tact, maturity, and flexibility. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a significant plus.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma, GED, or college degree, along with 6 months to 2 years of program delivery experience. The hourly rate is determined by the level of education and experience. Mandatory First Aid/CPR certification is required for all applicants.
