About the Role

In this position, you will implement all company and division policies to achieve maximum sales and profits in the produce departments while demonstrating our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. You will serve as a leader who develops maximum customer relations through personal example, ensuring a friendly and courteous environment for all shoppers.

Your day will involve planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the activities of the produce department. You will direct the receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all produce products, ensuring adequate stock and supplies are maintained at optimum levels. You will also supervise all aspects of salad bar operations and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment, including proper disposal of waste and the maintenance of coolers and preparation areas.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the hiring, firing, disciplining, and evaluation of produce department personnel. You will provide adequate training on price marking and scale usage, ensuring your team is properly uniformed and identified. You will discuss efficient working schedules with the store manager and may take charge of store operations in the absence of the store manager. Throughout your shift, you will remain alert to assist in store security, handle customer complaints perceptive, and react quickly to constantly changing priorities and demands.
