In this position, you will be the face of our Produce department, dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. You will establish and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return, while achieving sales and profit goals and controlling all established quality assurance standards.
Your day will involve monitoring all functions and activities related to the department, from reviewing products for quality and freshness to informing customers of specials and offering samples. You will help customers discover new items, answer questions, and ensure they feel welcome, important, and appreciated. Beyond customer interaction, you will develop department business plans, manage inventory and stocking conditions, and assist in preparing budgets and financial reports. You will also play a key role in training and developing associates, empowering them to meet targets through teamwork and fostering an environment of trust and respect.
