About the Role
In this position, you will create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service while establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals while monitoring all established quality assurance standards.
You will embrace the "Customer 1st" strategy, encouraging associates to deliver excellent service. Your day will involve modeling the 3A's of Friendly (acknowledge, assist, and appreciate), promoting corporate brands, and creating an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. You will gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department to answer questions, make suggestions, and recommend items that ensure customers get exactly what they need.
Beyond customer interaction, you will play a key role in operational excellence by preparing produce platters, inspecting products for quality and freshness, and ensuring proper temperatures are maintained in cases and coolers. You will also reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance on equipment.
