About the Role

In this position, you will create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service while establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals while monitoring all established quality assurance standards.

Embracing the "Customer 1st" strategy, you will encourage associates to deliver excellent service and model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate our customers. You will promote corporate brands, answer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store, and recommend items to ensure customers get the products they want and need. Your role involves preparing produce platters, inspecting products for quality and freshness, and maintaining proper temperatures in cases and coolers.

You will also foster an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated, while promoting trust and respect among associates. Demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety is essential. You will reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and reporting any risks, accidents, or illegal activity to store management.
