About the Role
In this position, you will create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service while establishing and maintaining a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will monitor all functions, duties, and activities related to the Produce department, ensuring we achieve sales and profit goals while controlling all established quality assurance standards.
Your day will involve promoting trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude, while communicating company and department-specific information effectively. You will establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed targets through teamwork. A key part of your role is creating an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products, making suggestions, and locating items. You will inform customers of produce specials, offer product samples to help them discover new items, and review products for quality and freshness.
You will also develop and implement a department business plan, create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management, and assist in preparing store and department budgets. From scheduling price changes to planning inventory processes and maintaining proper temperatures in cases and coolers, you will ensure operational excellence. Throughout your shift, you will reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance.

Requirements
