About the Role
As a Produce Clerk, you will be a vital part of the Fresh Thyme Market Team. Your role is to keep the Produce Department stocked and clean during business hours while maintaining a friendly, energetic demeanor. You will assist customers as needed, ensuring they find the products they need for their wellness journey. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Produce Department and focusing on sales and customer service alongside daily responsibilities.

- check_circleWalk department regularly to ensure an organized, sanitary, and clean appearance
- check_circleStock and organize produce and floral items including product rotation, facing, and pricing accuracy
- check_circleOperate equipment such as knives, scales, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely
- check_circleRun the cut fruit and vegetable program while maintaining product knowledge
- check_circleMonitor point-of-purchase signs, recipe cards, coupons, and promotional materials
- check_circleEnsure cleanliness of produce, floral, storage, and work areas by cleaning shelves and removing debris
- check_circleReceive, inspect, and log incoming products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- check_circleAssist customers with inquiries, product selection, and cross-selling opportunities
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalency degree
- verified1-2 years grocery retail experience in Floral department processes and procedures (preferred)
- verifiedPrevious experience in a natural foods industry (plus)
