Northrop Grumman Defense Systems currently has an opening for a Principal Systems Engineer to support the Sentinel program. This position will be based in Roy, UT; Bellevue, NE; Huntsville, AL; or Colorado Springs, CO.
The role supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. As a member of this team, you will collaborate with program Integrated Product Team (IPT) counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts. You will work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature the architecture content of large program designs, ensuring requirements are properly represented in the model. Additionally, you will contribute to developing unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes for model development, tool integration, and team integration.

Large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program (preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production). Experience with implementing and using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, practices, and methods. Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems of systems. Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities.
