About the Role

As a Pre-K Mixed Abilities educator, you will serve as a vital link within USD 259, planning and facilitating instruction designed to maximize student learning in the least restrictive environment. This role is dedicated to supporting a diverse population of young learners, requiring a unique blend of tact, diplomacy, and a positive attitude to handle all situations with care.

You will work under the direct supervision of the department supervisor, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to diagnose needs and implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs). Your day involves creating a structured, engaging classroom environment where you differentiate instruction based on individual learning modalities. From managing classroom routines and behavior to assisting with self-care activities, you will ensure every student receives appropriate, standards-based curriculum while maintaining open communication with parents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
