Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems for manufacturing equipment
- check_circleMaintain and support existing automation systems to minimize downtime and improve performance
- check_circleDiagnose and resolve electrical controls and automation issues on production equipment
- check_circleModify PLC logic to improve equipment functionality, efficiency, and reliability
- check_circleAssist with startup, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and automation systems
- check_circleSupport integration between PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs, sensors, drives, and manufacturing software
- check_circleCollaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams during equipment failures and improvement initiatives
- check_circleEnsure all automation systems comply with company safety standards and food safety requirements
- check_circleSupport preventive maintenance activities related to controls and automation systems
- check_circleAssist with training maintenance technicians and operators on automated equipment operation
- check_circleParticipate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant automation initiatives
- check_circleDevelop and maintain documentation including PLC backups, schematics, and network diagrams
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate's degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related field
- verifiedMinimum of 3–5 years of PLC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
- verifiedExperience programming and troubleshooting PLC platforms such as Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi Electric, Omron
- verifiedExperience with HMIs, VFDs, industrial networking, and SCADA systems
- verifiedAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- verifiedKnowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profinet
- verifiedProficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Nice to Have
Experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment. Familiarity with Ignition SCADA, MES systems, OEE platforms such as QAD Redzone, and industrial data collection systems. Experience with robotics, servo systems, and motion controls. Understanding of FDA, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards. Project management experience.

Formed in 1978, Snak King began as a manufacturer of pork rinds, operating out of a small, 1,200 square foot facility. Back then, the workforce was comprised of just three employees.
