We are currently hiring a Plant Operator Supervisor to support our government customer in Washington, DC. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of a sophisticated automated wastewater pretreatment plant. Your primary mission is to ensure all equipment operates properly and that liquid chemical levels remain within tolerance. You will work directly under the supervision of the Plant Manager, managing a team of operators in an industrial setting.
The day-to-day environment involves active engagement with the plant's infrastructure. You will utilize Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and SCADA software to control plant operations from both the office and the field. The role requires physical presence throughout the facility, including climbing ladders and stairs to perform plant checks every two hours. You will also manage the maintenance of critical equipment such as pumps, motors, mixers, tanks, and filter presses, ensuring the facility runs smoothly and safely.
