The Plane Captain serves as a critical leader on the flight line, performing aircraft handling, servicing, and daily turn-around inspections. This role goes beyond individual execution; it involves providing technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to employees in the Aircraft Washer and Plane Captain Helper classifications. You will be the face of professionalism on the ground, ensuring the safe launch and recovery of aircraft while maintaining the highest standards of safety and security for government and company-owned equipment.
In this position, you will act as the aircraft taxi director during launch and recovery operations, utilizing two-way communication equipment to coordinate complex movements. Your day will involve towing aircraft, acting as a brake rider, and securing aircraft through tie-downs and covers. You will also manage the cleanliness of the work center and operate portable firefighting equipment, ensuring compliance with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste, and Tool Control programs.

Experience in F-18 (A-F), EA-18G, E-2C, F-16 and/or MH60. Licensing certification requirements including Hazardous Waste Communications Training, FOD and TCP Awareness Trained, ISO 9001-2000 Program Awareness, and Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training. Licensed on support equipment such as tow tractor, nitrogen servicing cart, engine wash cart, and engine start unit.
