The Division of OncoMedicine at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) is a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary program designed with experts from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. This center represents the broadest extension of MD Anderson's services outside of Houston, bringing an unprecedented level of cancer care to the greater Phoenix area and the entire southwest region.
Banner Health, a Top 10 health system for clinical performance, has partnered with MD Anderson Cancer Center, repeatedly ranked number one by U.S. News and World Report in cancer care. Together, they operate a facility featuring an evidence-based design, state-of-the-art technology, and advanced treatment capabilities. The Division includes clinicians from non-oncologic internal medicine disciplines, fostering a collaborative environment across multiple locations in Arizona and Northern Colorado.
The current Interventional Pulmonology team consists of three physicians and three Advanced Practice Providers, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and an active, expanding research component. The program serves as an elective rotation for rotating pulmonary and critical care fellows, enhancing their training and skills in a cutting-edge clinical environment.
