The Division of OncoMedicine at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) is actively recruiting to join a growing, comprehensive, and multi-disciplinary Interventional Pulmonology program. This team, currently consisting of three physicians and three Advanced Practice Providers, is dedicated to providing evidence-based care for oncologic patients across the Phoenix metropolitan area. The practice features an active and expanding research component and operates with state-of-the-art equipment.
Banner Health, a Top 10 Health System for clinical performance, has teamed up with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center—repeatedly ranked number one by U.S. News and World Report in cancer care—to open BMDACC. This center represents the broadest extension of MD Anderson's services outside of Houston, bringing an unprecedented level of cancer care to the greater Phoenix area and the entire southwest region. The facility was designed with experts from MD Anderson, featuring an evidence-based design and advanced treatment capabilities.
This is an exceptional opportunity to practice in a cutting-edge, clinical multidisciplinary environment. As an Interventional Pulmonologist, you will manage medical issues for patients with lung, esophageal, pleural, head and neck, mediastinal, and chest wall tumors. Your responsibilities will include preoperative assessment and bronchoscopic management of thoracic tumors, working closely with the oncology team utilizing a multidisciplinary care model.
You will join a collaborative team that provides outstanding research-driven care across multiple locations, including the Banner Gateway Medical Center Campus in Gilbert, AZ, and the Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ. These suburban locations offer convenient access to world-class entertainment, year-round outdoor activities, and an excellent quality of life. The role also offers the opportunity for an adjunct faculty position at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center and serves as an elective rotation for rotating pulmonary and critical care fellows to enhance their training.
