This position is within the Clinical Care department, specifically under CTH Physical Therapy. The role is dedicated to organizing and delivering medically-prescribed physical therapy to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or the loss of a body part. The team serves a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
As a Physical Therapist, you will partner with medical staff to evaluate functional abilities and outline tailored treatment plans. Your day-to-day involves utilizing physical means such as exercise, massage, heat, sound, water, light, and electricity to meet patient needs. Beyond direct patient care, you will educate patients and caregivers on specialized equipment, posture control, and home safety, while also supervising and mentoring physical therapy students and volunteers.
Patient safety is a core pillar of our operations. We encourage a proactive approach where team members seek opportunities to improve safety protocols, question current processes, and report potential risks or errors. We foster an environment where patients are encouraged to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and voicing concerns.
We are committed to professional growth, supporting your development through educational programs, current literature, and workshops. Additionally, we value cultural competence and welcome bilingual candidates proficient in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.
Compensation for this role is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, education, and organizational considerations. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates. Please note that a valid New Mexico Physical Therapist License (or temporary license) and CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification are required within 30 days of hire.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
