This position is within the Clinical Social Work department, focusing on Behavioral and Mental Health. The role is dedicated to coordinating and providing essential services and resources to individuals and families to promote rehabilitation, recovery, and resiliency.
You will engage in patient care that encompasses supportive counseling, safety planning, and skill-building interventions. The position serves a diverse patient population, including children at risk of or experiencing serious emotional, neurobiological, and behavioral disorders, as well as adults with severe mental illness, chronic substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. Assignments may span neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
Your work will center on identifying strengths to aid recovery while addressing barriers to independent functioning. You will support individuals and families during crisis situations, providing personalized interventions to enhance their ability to make informed, independent decisions. The role requires adherence to hospital and departmental policies, with a strong emphasis on patient safety, proactive improvement of safety protocols, and encouraging patients to actively participate in their own care.
Compensation for this role is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, and other business and organizational considerations. Shift differentials apply: 17% for weekday nights, 26% for weekend nights, and 15% for weekend days.
