Join New Mexico's only Level 1 trauma center and the state's premier teaching hospital in a dynamic inpatient, acute care setting. This role offers a unique rotating position within the hospital's adult progressive care units, providing exposure to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatric adults. Coverage areas include adult ICUs and pediatric services, with specific assignments determined by experience and in-house training.
As a key member of a highly skilled team of therapists, nurses, and medical professionals, you will support the delivery of comprehensive physical therapy procedures. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve assisting Physical Therapists during patient testing, evaluations, and complex procedures, as well as carrying out corrective exercise and treatment programs for assigned patients. You will play a vital role in patient education, instructing individuals on the proper use of mobility aids such as wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, and prosthetic appliances.
