About the Role
As an Outpatient Phlebotomist, you will be the vital link between patients and diagnostic information. Your role focuses on processing blood draws with a high level of customer satisfaction, ensuring patient care remains the top priority. You will interact professionally with laboratory management, physicians, and hospital staff to facilitate the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases.
Your day will involve conducting phlebotomy procedures at outpatient draw stations, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and healthcare clinics for patients of all ages, from infants to adults. You will be responsible for positively identifying patients, labeling specimens with two unique identifiers, and processing physician orders using our laboratory systems. Whether collecting specimens for special procedures like therapeutic phlebotomy or driving lab courier vehicles to off-site locations, you will maintain a positive attitude and adhere to strict safety and regulatory standards.
