As an Outpatient Phlebotomist, you will be the vital link between patients and the diagnostic process. Your role focuses on processing blood draws with precision while providing a high level of customer satisfaction and positive communication. You will interact professionally with laboratory management, physicians, and patients to ensure optimal care, contributing to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases.
Your day will involve conducting phlebotomy procedures at outpatient draw stations, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and healthcare clinics. You will be responsible for positively identifying patients, labeling specimens with unique identifiers, and processing physician orders using our Meditech and Quest 360 systems. Whether collecting specimens for special procedures like therapeutic phlebotomy or driving lab courier vehicles to off-site locations, you will maintain a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment. You will also play a key role in training new employees and students, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
