About the Role

As an Outpatient Phlebotomist, you will be the vital link between patients and the diagnostic process, processing blood draws with a focus on patient care and positive communication. This role exists to ensure that laboratory tests provide accurate information to physicians for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases. You will interact professionally with laboratory management, physicians, and patients to deliver optimal care, ensuring specimens are positively identified, labeled, and processed with precision.

Your day will involve conducting phlebotomy at outpatient draw stations, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and healthcare clinics for patients of all ages, from infants to adults. You will manage physician orders, perform special procedures like therapeutic phlebotomy and glucose tolerance testing, and utilize computer systems to process specimens for reference labs. Whether driving lab courier vehicles to off-site locations or training new employees, you will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency and integrity of our laboratory operations.
