As an Outpatient Phlebotomist, you will be the vital link between patients and diagnostic information, processing blood draws with a focus on patient care, safety, and positive communication. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a team environment and take pride in delivering a high level of customer satisfaction. You will interact professionally with laboratory management, physicians, and hospital staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Your day will involve conducting phlebotomy procedures for a diverse range of patients, including adults, adolescents, and infants, across outpatient draw stations, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and healthcare clinics. You will be responsible for processing physician orders, collecting specimens for special procedures like therapeutic phlebotomy and glucose tolerance testing, and utilizing computer systems to manage lab requisitions and reference lab submissions. Whether working within our facilities or driving to off-site locations, you will ensure the integrity of specimens and the accuracy of patient identification, playing a key role in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases.
