As a Pharmacy Technician I at Glenbrook Hospital, you will play a vital role in our mission to "help everyone in our communities be their best." You will assist the pharmacist in dispensing and filling prescriptions, ensuring safe, seamless, and personal care for every patient. Your day-to-day operations will involve preparing, filling, and labeling medications for final dispensing authorization, as well as accurately preparing unit doses according to refill lists.
Beyond the dispensary, you will conduct rounds to nursing units to prepare medications for transportation and assist in maintaining pharmacy inventory for both prescription and over-the-counter items. You will also handle administrative tasks such as entering prescriptions, filing, ordering supplies, and contacting third-party insurance providers. This role is essential to maintaining pharmacy efficiency and organization, supporting the pharmacist in the day-to-day operations of the hospital pharmacy.
