Founded in 1901, Walgreens proudly serves nearly 9 million customers and patients each day across approximately 8,500 stores throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. With a team of nearly 220,000 members, including over 90,000 healthcare service providers, we are committed to being the first choice for pharmacy, retail, and health services. Our mission is to build trusted relationships that create healthier futures for our customers, patients, team members, and communities.
The Pharmacy Manager serves as the clinical and operational leader of the pharmacy, driving a strategic shift from a transactional model to an interpersonal, patient-centered experience. In this role, you will provide empathetic consulting services to patients regarding medication use, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare, including immunizations and diagnostic testing.
Your day will involve managing the entire pharmacy workflow, from compounding and verifying prescriptions to ensuring accurate insurance billing and regulatory compliance. You will act as a bridge between patients and the broader medical community, collaborating with physicians to clarify prescriptions and advocate for patient care. Beyond clinical duties, you will foster a culture of excellence by leading staff performance, managing inventory, and enhancing the financial health of the pharmacy. You will also champion Walgreens' service traits—such as curiosity, empathy, and inclusivity—to ensure every patient interaction is distinctive and joyful.
To apply, please submit your resume through the Walgreens careers portal. The selection process typically involves a review of your clinical qualifications and leadership experience, followed by interviews with the Store Manager and District Manager to assess cultural fit and operational readiness.
Walgreens is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans. We consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. We are committed to building a diverse workforce and fostering an inclusive environment where all team members can thrive.
