About the Role
This position serves as the clinical and operational anchor of the pharmacy, bridging the gap between transactional service and personalized healthcare. You will lead the shift from a traditional dispensing model to an interpersonal, patient-centric experience. By providing empathetic consulting on medication use, drug interactions, and preventive care, you ensure that every patient interaction fosters trust and improves health outcomes.
In this role, you will manage the entire pharmacy workflow, from compounding and verifying prescriptions to overseeing inventory and financial performance. Beyond clinical duties like immunizations and diagnostic testing, you will cultivate a high-performing team by coaching staff, managing performance, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and care. You will also act as a community liaison, building relationships with local medical providers to expand health and wellness awareness in the neighborhoods we serve.

Requirements
- verifiedBS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution
- verifiedCurrent pharmacist licensure in the states within the district
- verifiedCertified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire
- verifiedAt least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing
- verifiedExperience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws
- verifiedSupervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing the work of pharmacy staff
- verifiedAt least 6 months pharmacy experience with Walgreen Co.
- verifiedAn average rating of at least 3.0 on the leadership behaviors on the last performance review if one is on file, and no written disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (Internal candidates only)
Nice to Have
Supervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing the work of pharmacy staff. At least 6 months pharmacy experience with Walgreen Co. An average rating of 3.7 or above on the leadership behaviors on the last performance review if one is on file (Internal candidates only).
