This position serves as a vital bridge between clinical expertise and patient care, transforming the pharmacy experience from a purely transactional process into an interpersonal healthcare partnership. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will provide comprehensive consulting services to customers, focusing on the effective usage of medications, drug interaction awareness, and preventive healthcare initiatives such as immunizations.
You will play a central role in optimizing the pharmacy's workflow and financial performance while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and company policies. The role is designed for a professional who is passionate about shifting the focus of pharmacy services toward proactive patient engagement, medication management, and community health outreach.
Your day will involve engaging directly with patients to resolve issues, answer complex questions regarding side effects and drug interactions, and model best-in-class customer service habits. You will manage the full spectrum of pharmacist tasks, including compounding, verification, and drug therapy reviews, while utilizing advanced pharmacy systems to ensure accurate insurance processing and inventory management.
Beyond clinical duties, you will foster strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses, to enhance patient outcomes. You will also support the Pharmacy Manager in staff development, coaching team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Whether conducting virtual product reviews or leading community outreach activities, your work will directly contribute to the growth and health of the community you serve.
To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate a willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to the start date. Additionally, successful applicants must be prepared to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within the district within 90 days of hire, as well as achieve Certified Immunizer status or become one within the same timeframe.
