About the Role
As a Pharmacist at Walgreens, you will serve as a vital healthcare partner, bridging the gap between transactional pharmacy services and personalized patient care. Your mission is to ensure the safe, effective, and compliant dispensing of medications while actively promoting preventive healthcare through immunizations, drug therapy reviews, and wellness consultations. You will play a key role in shifting the pharmacy experience from a simple pickup point to a destination for comprehensive health management.
In this position, you will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager to optimize workflow, manage inventory, and enhance the financial performance of the pharmacy. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of clinical duties, including compounding, verification, and resolving complex insurance or provider issues. Beyond clinical tasks, you will foster a culture of teamwork, coaching staff to deliver distinctive customer service and building strong relationships with the local medical community to drive community health growth.
Hiring Process & Requirements
To join our team, candidates must be willing to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution prior to starting the position. Additionally, you must be willing to secure pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within your district within 90 days of hire. Certification as an immunizer is also required or must be obtained within the first 90 days.
