This position serves as a vital bridge between clinical expertise and patient care, transforming the pharmacy experience from a purely transactional process into an interpersonal healthcare partnership. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will provide comprehensive consulting services to customers, ensuring the effective usage of medications while raising awareness about drug interactions and preventive healthcare.
You will play a central role in optimizing the pharmacy's workflow and financial performance under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager. By managing inventory, analyzing performance data, and fostering strong relationships with the local medical community, you will help drive growth and enhance the overall customer experience. The role is designed for professionals who are eager to shift the focus of pharmacy services toward proactive health management, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
Your day will be defined by a blend of clinical precision and community engagement. You will counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and have access to cost-effective alternatives. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to verifying prescriptions, compounding medications, and managing complex insurance claims to resolve payment issues.
Beyond the counter, you will actively engage with patients to anticipate their health needs, offering services that promote wellness and disease prevention. You will also collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest therapeutic alternatives. As a leader within the team, you will assist in training new staff, coaching team members on service excellence, and fostering a culture of teamwork and shared vision.
