This position serves as a vital bridge between clinical expertise and patient care, transforming the pharmacy from a transactional hub into a personalized healthcare destination. You will provide comprehensive consulting services to customers, guiding them on effective medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive health strategies. The role is designed to support the efficient workflow of the pharmacy while actively assisting the Pharmacy Manager in optimizing financials, inventory management, and the overall customer experience.
Your day will be defined by a blend of clinical precision and interpersonal connection. You will engage directly with patients, greeting them warmly and resolving issues to ensure a distinctive, delightful experience. Beyond dispensing medications, you will counsel patients on side effects, contraindications, and cost-effective alternatives, referring to medical providers when necessary to ensure health needs are fully addressed.
You will perform essential pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and verification, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and company policies. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to enhancing the patient journey through retail, clinical, and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness programs. You will also collaborate with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses, to foster strong relationships and promote community health growth.
To join our team, candidates must be willing to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date. Additionally, you must be willing to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire, and become a Certified Immunizer within the same timeframe.
