This position serves as a vital bridge between clinical expertise and community care, transforming the pharmacy from a transactional hub into a personalized healthcare destination. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will provide comprehensive consulting services to customers, guiding them on effective medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare initiatives like immunizations.
The role is designed to support the efficient workflow of the pharmacy while actively assisting the Pharmacy Manager in optimizing financials, inventory management, and the overall customer experience. You will be instrumental in shifting the pharmacy's focus toward interpersonal engagement, ensuring that every patient interaction is distinctive, delightful, and centered on their health needs.
Your day involves engaging directly with patients to resolve issues, answer complex questions regarding side effects and contraindications, and proactively offer services that enhance their well-being. You will manage the full spectrum of pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and the verification of prescribed medications, all while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Beyond clinical duties, you will foster strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses, to facilitate seamless care coordination. You will also play a leadership role in staff development, coaching team members to deliver best-in-class customer service and fostering a culture of teamwork and shared vision.
To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate a willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to the start date. Additionally, successful applicants must be prepared to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within the state of employment within 90 days of hire, as well as secure Certified Immunizer status or become one within the same timeframe.
