About the Role
This position serves as a vital bridge between our pharmacy operations and the community, delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will work under the direct supervision of pharmacists to assist in the practice of pharmacy while ensuring every interaction is courteous, efficient, and compliant with state and federal regulations.
Your day involves engaging with customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products, and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction. You will model and share customer service best practices, demonstrating key Walgreens service traits such as proactively offering help, identifying needs, and servicing until satisfied. From processing sales on the cash register to managing prescription workflows, you play a key role in maintaining the store's operational excellence.
Training & Development
We are committed to your professional growth. In this role, you will earn and maintain PTCB certification through our designated training program and/or state-required certification. You will also attend training sessions, complete required PPLs, and acquire continuing education credits to stay current with the latest healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleProvide customer service in the photo area including digital passport and print services
- check_circleEnsure compliance with state laws regarding regulated products like tobacco and alcohol
- check_circleEngage customers by greeting them and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience
- check_circleProcess manual claims for third-party prescription services and perform clerical duties
- check_circleMaintain inventory by ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments
- check_circleMaintain store cleanliness and assist with exterior and interior maintenance tasks
- check_circleAssist the pharmacist in obtaining patient information and processing prescriptions
- check_circleAssist with web pick-up responsibilities by monitoring and filling online orders
Requirements

Nice to Have
Six months of experience in a retail environment. Prior work experience with Walgreens. Good math skills for filling prescriptions accurately. Good computer skills. Knowledge of store inventory control. PTCB certification.
