This position serves as a vital bridge between our pharmacy operations and the community, delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will work under the direct supervision of pharmacists to assist in the practice of pharmacy while ensuring every interaction is courteous, fair, and efficient. The role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and are passionate about healthcare service.
Your day begins by engaging with customers and patients, greeting them warmly and offering proactive assistance with products and services. You will manage the checkout process, handling cash, processing returns, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience. Beyond the register, you will support the pharmacy team by utilizing systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and assisting with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
You will also handle various clerical duties, such as processing third-party claims, answering non-urgent phone calls, and managing web pick-up responsibilities. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment is a key part of your responsibilities, from constructing promotional displays to ensuring proper food separation and stock rotation. Additionally, you will provide customer service in the photo area and assist with general store maintenance.
Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. We look for individuals who are fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English and possess strong math and computer skills. While prior retail experience and PTCB certification are preferred, we are committed to training and developing our team members to succeed in this role.
