About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you play a vital role in delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while supporting the pharmacy team. You will be the face of the pharmacy, engaging with customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive interaction. Your work directly impacts patient care by assisting pharmacists under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, utilizing pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, and processing prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Your day involves a blend of customer service, operational precision, and technical support. You will register sales, handle cash transactions, and manage returns or exchanges efficiently. Beyond the register, you will assist in the pharmacy by filling prescriptions, verifying medications, checking for interactions, and managing inventory. You will also support the store's broader operations by maintaining clean and well-merchandised shelves, constructing displays, and handling web pick-up responsibilities. Whether assisting with photo services, managing telephone calls, or ensuring compliance with safety and legal policies, your role is essential to the smooth functioning of the pharmacy and the store.
Training & Development
We are committed to your professional growth. You will earn and maintain PTCB certification through our designated training program or state-required certification. We encourage you to attend training sessions, complete required PPLs, and acquire continuing education credits to stay current with the latest healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Requirements
