This position serves as the vital link between Walgreens and our customers, delivering a distinctive and delightful experience at every touchpoint. You will operate at the intersection of retail and healthcare, ensuring that every customer interaction is courteous, efficient, and supportive. Whether assisting with everyday retail needs or supporting pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, your role is essential to maintaining the trust and satisfaction of our community.
Your day begins by engaging with customers and patients, greeting them warmly and offering proactive assistance. You will manage the checkout process, handling cash transactions, processing returns, and resolving inquiries to ensure a seamless shopping experience. Beyond the register, you will support the pharmacy department by utilizing systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and assisting pharmacists with workflow and inventory management.
You will also maintain the store's presentation by keeping counters and shelves clean, merchandising products, and constructing displays. From handling telephone inquiries to managing web pick-up orders and assisting with photo services, you will wear many hats to keep operations running smoothly. Throughout your shift, you will adhere to strict safety and compliance standards, including Good Faith Dispensing policies and regulations regarding regulated products.
Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. The role requires fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). While prior retail experience and PTCB certification are preferred, we are committed to training and developing our team members to succeed in this dynamic environment.
