As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you play a vital role in delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while supporting the pharmacy team. You will be the face of the pharmacy, greeting customers and patients with courtesy and efficiency. Your day involves a blend of customer service, operational support, and precise pharmacy tasks under the direct supervision of pharmacists.
You will assist in the practice of pharmacy by using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and ensuring accurate data entry. Beyond the pharmacy counter, you contribute to the overall store operations by managing inventory, maintaining clean and well-merchandised shelves, and assisting customers in locating products. You may also handle duties in the photo area and manage web pick-up responsibilities, ensuring a seamless experience for customers ordering online.
We are committed to your professional growth. You will earn and maintain PTCB certification through our designated training program and state-required registration. The role includes attending training sessions, completing required PPLs, and acquiring continuing education credits to stay current with the latest healthcare and pharmacy developments.
